I love it because it can cut out bigger things AND the dies are steel so you can cut felt, chipboard, etc.

But if you only plan on using paper go with the cheaper cuttlebug.Loriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01677588485104564266noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8813577682737957103.post-74708235790131382132009-02-23T08:11:00.000-06:002009-02-23T08:11:00.000-06:00Missy, you won the ring on my blog. Both cut wafter thin dies it looks to me. These are nice because they are small to store and major crafting stores carry them so you can use a 40% off coupon when they aren't already on sale.

That being said, I think that a Big Shot can be used with wafter thin dies with the use of adaptors. Big Shot is by the same company as Sizlits: Sizzix. I'd go for the Big Shot even though it is more because it'll give you more varitey. You can buy the larger dies that can cut through chip board and fabric like felt. I use mine all the time to cut through fabric for crafting projects so I'm able to use it for more than just scrapbooking.Katiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18259780683037042533noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8813577682737957103.post-64001262251047468712009-02-20T11:48:00.000-06:002009-02-20T11:48:00.000-06:00Hi Missy! The Cricut looks awesome and the Sizzix seems good for smaller things. Happy {early} Birthday! I'll have to look into a die cut machine for a birthday gift possibility for me...thanks for the idea!Heidi Booshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02506301376073542559noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8813577682737957103.post-89205726972051625572009-02-20T08:49:00.000-06:002009-02-20T08:49:00.000-06:00I have seen the Big Shot in action and it is nice,...I have seen the Big Shot in action and it is nice, but it's big and expensive. I've never used the Cuddlebug. Big Daddy gave me a small portable cutter called the Slice (www.whyslice.com). I LOVE it. It takes little computer chips but there seem to be alot of designs on one chip ($40 each, I think). Hobby Lobby and Archivers carries it.The Hat Chickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07698171137809654840noreply@blogger.com
