Craft Challenge- Halloween Decor

Today is Heidi at Blue Eyed Blessing's Monthly Craft Challenge. The theme this month was Halloween or Fall , so I want to share what I came up with. I found this cute little white iron tree back around Easter at Pier 1 for half off and picked it up. I thought it would be great for many occasions or holidays, so I made a "happy" Halloween tree. I also mod podged some "BOO" letters. Can't wait to see other's creations!

For my happy little tree, I used small glass ornaments found at Hobby Lobby. I filled some with orange tissue paper and then painted white and black polka dots on them. Some of the ornaments have black spiders in them. I just used the spider rings and cut off the ring part and kind of folded them in half and stuck them into the ornament. It looks kinda creepy close up. I thought my son would really appreciate that!

The BOO letters are simply mod podged with different scrapbook papers and embellished with different ribbons and an orange spider.

Craft Challenge-Monograms

It's time for Heidi at Blue Eyed Blessings' Monthly Craft Challenge and this month the theme is monograms. Aren't they all the rage these days?! I'm seeing monograms on all kinds of things! I really like them myself and I can't wait to see what the other participants in this craft challenge have done. Be sure to check it out.

I didn't get any new things done with monograms, so I'm just going to link you to some older posts that feature past projects I've done. The first one is a vinyl/tile monogram. This is one of my favorites. The other one is a teacher gift I recently made containing monogrammed note cards and jumbo paperclip bookmark. Enjoy!

Craft Challenge: Ribbon

Today is craft challenge time with Heidi at Blue Eyed Blessings. Her theme this month is ribbon.

Ribbon is so fun and versatile. It can dress up so many things, but today I wanted to share something new I learned how to do while visiting my friend Tammy. I learned how to make bows!! It's so fun!I'm so glad she taught me how to do this. We had a great time making these together. Since I have two girls, this skill will definitely come in handyand can we say gifts! Oh yeah! I'm sure I'll be making some to give away. I also made some cute flower clips that I'll be sharing later. I was also planning a tutorial to show you how to make a basic bow, but that will have to come later as well. Busy, busy, busy!

I'll also link you to another cute past ribbon project that was so simple. This embellished trash can took only minutes to complete. Great for a girl's room! Enjoy!

Craft Challenge

Today is Heidi's monthly craft challenge at Blue Eyed Blessings. This month is all about the scalloped punch. You can find out all about it here and link up and join. I thought I would be able to get some new ideas ready to go, but it just wasn't happening. The past two weeks seem like they have been filled with Dr., dentist and then my youngest daughter's outpatient surgery yesterday, which went very well. Yea!! So, I thought I would link to some of the older things I've done with the scalloped punch. Check 'em out! I hope you'll be inspired to make some pretty things!

This is my scalloped punch. It is a Marvy Uchida brand.

CUTE DESK SET
The first post I want to link you to is a desk set that I made. I was very pleased with the outcome. My favorite part of it is the jumbo paper clip bookmark!

CUPCAKE KIT
Next, is a cupcake kit I made for a little Halloween gift. It has scalloped cupcake picks. You can see it here.

PARTY FAVORS
Check out these cute party favors I did for my mom and sister's birthday party. The scalloped punch make these nugget box favors stand out!

CANDY JAR GIFT WITH SCALLOPED LID
You can see my daughter's Valentine gift for her teacher here. It was a candy jar filled with goodies that we embellished by using a scalloped card on the lid. I made it using my friends Marvy Uchida Giga scalloped punch.
