Our Little Singer

That's Laci in the middle sitting down, excuse her music director's head.

Last Thursday night was Family Rhythm & Dance Night at Laci's school. We got our dance on with a sit down square dance, the hand jive and we even had a soul train line. We went a little old school with that. All of it was so fun. We had a great time!

After the limbo from the school clown troupe, the elementary school chorus performed three numbers, Puff the Magic Dragon, Take Me Out to the Ballgame and some dog song(don't remember). They did so good. They sounded awesome! Laci has always been our little singer, though. She was in an Orff music class from ages 3-5 and then it ends when you start kindergarten. She really misses it, so when it came time to sign up for school chorus, she was all for that. Laci is so cute when she sings. She sounds pretty good, too. Sometimes I'll catch her singing away in her room or the bathroom with not a care in the world. I love to hear our little singer!

Take Me Out to the Ballgame

This is before we went into Family Rhythm and Dance night outside the school. I told her I would like a picture of her so she struck a pose. She likes to do that, too.

Hi! I found your blog via ABC & 123.
I saw your name and had to click it since we have the same name. And I then found out that we both live in Alabama! So funny! Love your blog!

Looks like you had lots of fun. Is she the next American Idol?

So sweet! I kind of think that Mikayla might be a singer. She loves music! I was pretty active with singing in our church growing up, so I hope she'll want to follow in my footsteps.

Hope to see your button project before next Thursday, but I COMPLETELY understand if you can't get to it!

Have a great weekend!
